The Sounds of Praise Choir leads the congregation in worship during the 10:30 worship service.  This choir also presents several major concerts throughout the year such as Non-Seasonal concerts, and The Glory of Christmas (Musical and Drama).

“Sounds of Grace” Choir

 The “Sounds of Grace” Choir of First Baptist Church of Purvis strives to love each other, to sing with excellence to the glory of God, and minister to fellow choir members, church family, and the community around us.

“Sounds of Grace” Choir:

         *  Director-Rev. Mark Roberts

         *  Meets each Tuesday at 10 am-Fellowship Hall (Main Bldg.)

         *  Leads worship in the 8 am Worship Celebration

         *  Performs with the Lamar Baptist Association Senior Adult Choir at Assisted Living

                  Facilities, Long-Term Care Facilities, State-wide Senior Adult Rallies, and other

                  Venues wherever called upon.

 If you are an adult 55+ years, please be a part of this dynamic group of singers.

You do NOT have to read music to sing in this group...all you need is a willing spirit and a heart of worship.

Our Pre-school and Children’s Choirs are open  to all children K-4 through 6th grade. 

This ministry has been created for the purpose of leading our   children down a pathway of praise while increasing their basic musical knowledge.

 These choirs meet from August to May.  The Fall Semester schedule focuses on a specific theme with a performance during our Church Family Thanksgiving Praise Service.  The Spring Semester focuses on the same theme with several performances during the 10:30 am Worship Celebration.
