Our Senior Adult ministry is one of the fastest growing areas of the church. We embrace the Great Commission by:

We as senior adults realize the urgency to share the Love of Jesus Christ with all people. We try to accomplish this goal in several ways.
One way we accomplish our goal is through Bible There are Sunday School classes for all stages of life which meet at 9:15 on Sunday Mornings.. There are also various small group studies offered on Sunday nights at 5:00 pm. During the week our men meet for prayer and Bible study Tuesday mornings at 9:00 am. Our ladies meet to study and share Tuesday afternoon at 1:00pm.
Every Tuesday our senior adults have choir practice. This group sings in our 8 am Sunday morning worship service. They perform often at local nursing homes and health care facilities. In September of 2008 they have been invited to sing at the State Senior Adult Retreat in McComb, Mississippi Our monthly luncheon provides an excellent opportunity for adults to enjoy a time of fellowship and home cooking. This event includes a variety of special features from speakers to musical guests.
A Health Fair is jointly provided by Wesley Medical Center, Oxford Health Care, Hancock Bank and First Baptist Church. This event provides information concerning many areas pertinent to life as a senior.
This event is normally offered in March.
