Rev. Bill Wright

Brother Bill is the senior Pastor at First Baptist Church. He came to FBC in August of 2003. He previously pastored Philadelphia Batist Church in Brookhaven, MS. He is a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and also attended the Stephen Olford Center for Bibilical Preaching.

My wife Rhonda and I came to FBC in August of 2003. We have a daughter Ashley who is married to Brian Lucas, and a son Joshua who is a student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. God has impressed upon us the scripture of Joshua 24:15 "...As for me and my house, We will serve the LORD!" and it is our desire to serve God. Rhonda and I love to meet new people and to make new friends, and we would love to meet you also.

Mark is the Worship Pastor at First Baptist Church. He and his wife, Tammy, joined the First Family in May of 2004 from the great state of Louisiana. They have two children, Andrew and Ashley, ages 15 and 12 respectively. He is a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in Worship Leadership. My greatest desire is leading choirs and seeing their potential of singing great church music. 

Eric Bean

Eric (we call him Bean) is the Student Pastor at FBC Purvis. Eric and his wife, Christen, came to FBC in May of 2006.  Prior to joining the First Family Eric and Christen served at Mt. Vernon Church in Columbus, MS and Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS.    Eric and Christen do not have any children yet, but they do have two really cool cocker spaniels named Dixie & Bon Jovi.  Eric is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is a graduate of William Carey University. 

Sheri Engle

Sheri is the Minister to Children at First Baptist Church.  She is from Poplarville,  MS.  Sheri is married to Steven Engle of Purvis and they have two children, Adam 11 and Abram 5.  She is currently enrolled in New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a Masters in Christian Education.  My passion is for children and their families.  Our desire is to partner with parents and teach our children to see God in all aspects of life, not just those that are church related.  To show our children how to pray, study God’s word, the difference between right and wrong, and the importance of church involvement.
